In 2020, the Lagos State Government commenced a series of strategic solutions to cushion the economic effects of COVID-19 – one of which was an invitation to the Cultural Heritage and Creative Cultural Industries toward the revitalization of the State’s economy especially through investments that can further support the 20-year Tourism Master Plan.
In lieu of this recovery agenda, the State Government authorised IGA Nigeria Limited to coordinate stakeholder engagements relevant to the upward review of the existing Listed Sites (Preservation) Law of 2011.
This authorization is expected to guide how best to adopt and apply various tangible and intangible cultural assets so that they can efficiently support the State’s entertainment and tourism agenda.
