The primary transport-related problem in the Lekki-Epe corridor is congestion. The corridor is a major route for commuters, and traffic congestion is common during peak hours. The area also has limited public transportation options, which contributes to the congestion. In addition, the corridor is currently not served by any rapid transit system, making it difficult for people to travel long distances in a timely manner.  A trackless tram system on the Marina-Lekki corridor could provide a fast, efficient, and environmentally friendly mode of transportation for residents of the area.
